How do you deal with things out of your control? I think the answer to that speaks volumes about who you are more than any other thing really can. When life is the worst it possibly gets, who and what is the first thing that comes to mind. Are you sorry or are you just trying to work your way out of the problem or at the very least away from the situation. It's a natural fear reaction to separate yourself from what you are afraid of, but like my dad says it is character building to tackle those fears head on.

I am Nicholas Jerry Jonas. I am the youngest of the Jonas Brothers band but at home I am still an older brother to Frankie. Kevin is amazing, clueless, and honestly the most creative of us all. Growing up he was the one always coming up with something to do and now that we are older he is the guy that you look to find something to do on set or backstage or just for a point of view that you've possibly never thought of before. Joe is easily one of the funniest guys ever in that absurd funny way. We call him Danger because he just doesn't fear anything at all, which isn't a bad thing sometimes. And me? It was hard growing up with personalities like that. No one ever compared me to my brothers but myself. I wanted to be the best at whatever I did because in my eyes they were both amazing. Joe was the star in my dad's children choir and I just remember even at a little age wanting to do that someday.

So I am the quiet one. The observer, the master of whatever he comes across because he spends more time than anyone knows practicing it. I am the most cautious because I have reason to be. I am a self proclaimed spokesperson on type one diabetes of which I have been learning to control in a world where when we aren't touring we are filming television and movies, a life where we have to make time to breath and sleep. I've learned through trial and error and mornings when I couldn't do anything at all what foods I can and can't eat and which foods send my sugar out of control. I have to monitor what I do and be in tune with my body. People pay to see us perform at our best and as an artist it's my job to give that to them. Some days I just don't feel up to it though and that's when I have to face that challenge head on and do it.

I'm not sure this was any more than just a ramble but anyways, enjoy your day.

You got your hair combed back and your sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone
